The Upper Falls neighborhood, located directly north of downtown, has a name reflective of the breathtaking waterfalls that border the area. 

Upper Falls is home to several green spaces, including Baden Park, Conkey Corner Park, Lomb Memorial Park and Quamina Park. For those seeking a bit of adventure, residents can grab a kayak or canoe and head down to the Genesee River Gorge to cool off in the summertime. 

The community members in the Upper Falls neighborhood have established several creative ways to turn the area into an innovative hub. St. Michael’s Church, located on North Clinton Avenue, offers a woodshop and free community music series in partnership with the Eastman School of Music. Similarly, Rochester Makerspace, located on St. Paul Street, acts as a community learning center, offering classes on subjects from 3D printing to stained glass production.
